Day 20 - Lake Colac

A wet night last night and wet for a big part of todays trip. Fortunately it stopped whilst we were packing up this morning.

Before we left town went to the Botanic Gardens to check out some sculptures done with a chainsaw...

Mostly cut from tree stumps. Started to rain again as we left them so one photo below gives you the idea...

We had morning tea just outside Port Fairy and lunch was at Mortlake at Clarke’s Bakery. All the signs said that the pies are famous having been made by them for over 70 years. So had to have pies and they were very nice. To get served we had to get on a queue outside as there were so many people waiting for their pies!

Along the way we checked out the painted water tower at Lismore (Vic not NSW)...

We are camped at Meredith Park which is at the top of Lake Colac. A nice freecamp but the weather a bit miserable.

To Geelong tomorrow for 3 nights.
