Day 15 - Nelson

Last day in Nelson. This morning we did a 1 hour Nature walk at Livingston Island which is near the mouth of the Glenelg River.

Bought lunch at the Nelson Kiosk (great homemade pies) before a cruise up the Glenelg River this afternoon.

The Glenelg River is over 400km long and starts in the Grampians N/P. The mouth does sand over and has to be opened once a year.

We enjoyed todays activities...

Tomorrow we go to Port Fairy for 4 nights. It is a long weekend in Victoria & South Aus and was hard to get a site along the coast. They are saying that the whole area is fully booked out - the lady on the cruise boat was surprised that we could get a van site. Port Fairy normally hosts a Folk Festival this weekend but was cancelled due to Covid. I guess that helped.
