Day 8 - Coopernook State Forest

Another sunny day as we left Port Macquarie. First stop was a close beach for Faye to do her small rock collection!

Interesting was someone doing the chalk “Eternity” on a seat back.

Then only about 50 kms to Coopernook State Forest where we will stay for 2 nights. Only about 5 km off the M1.

It is a nice free camp and a huge area.

The cleared area was originally a bullock team area where they were kept overnight after the days work hauling timber. The original road to Port Macquarie was just near where we are camped and this was on the original Cobb & Co route.

More photos tomorrow.
