Day 70 - Bordertown

Last night the rain stopped enough to go and see the art that is projected onto the Karoonda silos each evening for 3 hours. They celebrate many different South Australian artists. Here are just a few...

This morning a slow start and left the CP at 10am, went uptown to have morning tea at the local cafe plus a little shopping. And some more photos through the park...

By the time we left it was midday but only 68kms to the next silo at Coonalpyn where we had a lovely sit down lunch at the bakery/post office.

It had been raining but the sun came out just in time for our photos and then it poured again.

These silos highlight 5 local children whose families are long term residents. Only the 3 boys faces are shown and 2 girls - one each end.

This artist has done the silos at Brim that we saw last year and also Portland NSW that we saw being painted. He works in black and white.

We were not sure where we were going to stay tonight but as it was then heavy rain we came onto Bordertown and once we set up in a free camp near a local lake it cleared.

As you can see a lot of art is used around here.

We will move into Victoria tomorrow and will probably be at Dimboola tomorrow night.
