Day 56 - Alice Springs

The day started with a very pleasant surprise. Last night we had a call from Gary and Fran Laker our good friends from Helensburgh that we knew were travelling in Central Aussie  but didn’t think our paths would cross. They were in The Alice for 1 night so we met them this morning for breakfast at the Red Dog Cafe  before they started heading south...

The bird wasn’t at breakfast! 

Then we went to the School of the Air for a tour...

We sponsored a book for their library and it is in the name of Mikayla and Harry Williams!

Then to the outskirts of Alice for a tour of the old Telegraph Station...

Back to shopping centre for lunch and a relaxing afternoon after yesterday...
