Day 36 - Lake Wallace Wallerawang

Left Grenfell at 10am with morning tea at Cowra and lunch at Bathurst. Was misty rain for most of the way but did fine up as we got towards Portland.

You may remember that we visited Portland silos on the 2nd day of our trip when the artist was then doing the 5th silo and only part of the face was done.. This is  now completed plus the 6th one. Eight were going to be done but the artist ran out of time before he had to go overseas.

These are the 2 silos that weren't done on our first visit.

The completed silos...

The lady one is at the other end so cant get in one photo.

Some close ups of the last 2 done...

This will be our last blog for this holiday. We have seen 12 groups of silos (10 in Victoria and 2 in NSW) and we have enjoyed our holiday as we followed the silo art trail.

Also was special to catch up with 2 lots of friends and we escaped Melbourne on this trip without a hospital admission!

Thanks for following us along - trust you have enjoyed our photos, especially of the silos. We maintain the blog as our travel diary and once a year we get it printed into a book.

By the time we get home we will have done 4267km over 37 days. The average overnight cost of this holiday had been $16.87.

Bye for now - until next time. That should be New Zealand for 5 weeks leaving on 19th September. All booked and paid. Hiring a motorhome.

As was typing this blog the sun was setting so one last photo....
