Day 48 - Toodyay

A day just around the town today. Went to the monthly farmers market first and then to the lookout. After that to Church which we really enjoyed. They were most welcoming and we got a special welcome as the service started. After was morning tea and lots of good food!

Then back to the van to change before going to lunch at The Cola Cafe and Museum. An interesting visit and great food and drinks (no we didn't drink Coke...). Then visited some more shops and finally back to the Christmas shop for Faye to make a purchase.

On the way back then went to the Newcastle Gaol museum which was built by convict labour in 1865.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our few days in Toodyay (it is pronounced "tood jay") and the caravan park was the best we have stayed in due to its bush surrounds and wildlife. Faye was still feeding the birds today. Magpies took the food from her hand but she couldn't get the parrots to do it. They would come within a few inches but still enjoyed the food.
Tomorrow going to York or somewhere close.
