Day 44 - Neergabby

Wow - what a day! It started with the van being buffeted around by very strong winds about 6.30am and rain. It eased off whilst we were packing up so got under way about 9.30am.

We came down the Indian Ocean drive (had thought of going inland with the weather forecast for gale force winds but decided to stay on the coast as we hadn't been down this new road). It wasn't too bad for a while and we got the first 3 photos. The kangaroo's were at a walk to a lookout which Ken insisted on doing in the rain.

When we could see the weather front coming in we just got to a roadside rest area as it hit. We just sat in the van for over an hour whilst the worst of it passed and had morning tea. Was very wild for a long time!

When it eased we had stopped next to the grass trees in the photo.

Stopped at a nature reserve further on for the last 2 photos but it was too wet to walk around.

Went on to Lancelin and had lunch there but general rain had set in so not much opportunity to see anything.

Tonight we are at Willowbrook Farm which operates a van park on it's property. Faye will feel at home as they have sheep. Hope it isn't raining in the morning so we can have a look around.

Tomorrow going to Toodyay.
