Left Penong around 10am and moved into the Nullabor Plain...
Had morning tea whilst there were trees and we didn't see any camels, kangaroos or wombats!
Did 225km to Head of Bight and then we spent around 2 hours watching whales. There were quite a few whales in close with most being mums and their babies. There are 138 in the bight this year.
Tonight we are at Whitewell Tank camping area just outside the Head of Bight.
Tomorrow we will most likely go to Koonalda Homestead which is an old station/roadhouse on the old original Eyre highway which is about 15km from the current road. We understand that although road in may be rough it is said to be doable with a van. Lady at Penong shop said she thinks it may have been graded recently. It is now in Nullabor National Park.
