Spent today up the Mt Lindsey Highway. Not far out of Tenterfield (in the same area) was Thunderbolt's Hideout (a bushranger) and tank traps put in for 2nd world war. This was where the original road from Brisbane to Sydney was and these are in a narrow section where it was great to rob people or tanks could progress south..
Then we went to Bald Rock National Park and we did get to the summit! Was 2.5km each way with lots of climbing and it took about 1 hour 15min to get up. The walk was very interesting with rock formations etc..
That walk certainly made our legs a bit sore. Then to Boonoo Boonoo National Park for lunch and to check out the waterfalls. Couldn't get a photo of the lot as it was in stages with rock pools. That was only a 600m walk!!
Then back to the van for a relax & shower.
