Arrived back at The Alice around 10.30am - fueled up Percy with a 50c per litre petrol docket so discount was $75 - pretty happy about that seeing we only spent $150 at Coles to get the voucher.
Then went to the ED at the hospital to see about Faye's arm/wrist. We ended up there for around 3 hours - but Faye saw a Dr and had the arm & wrist x rayed and it appears that nothing is broken. The arm was a little better this morning with slight movement. He said it appeared to be a really bad sprain. So now Faye has a back slab from elbow to fingers with it all bandaged. To leave it on for 3 days to see what happens.
Then did some food shopping & then left The Alice and came about 100km's to Rainbow Valley. About 20 km from the highway - last time we were here it was a 4wd track but they have now put in a proper road (but a bit corrugated in places).
The shots below are the main reason people come here - particularly at sunset - the photos show the changing mood as the day finishes...
Not sure when this blog will be uploaded - don't know what mobile is available between here & Ayers Rock where we are headed next. Will probably stay at a roadhouse somewhere and arrive at Yulara on Tues.
