Day 57 - Ross River

Well today marks the start of week 9 - Faye is getting homesick!!

Only a short trip today - about 11kms each way to N'Dhala Gorge - on a strictly 4WD road. The first photo below is some of the reason - a wide water crossing - you have to stick very close to the LHS - the resort have had to pull 3 vehicles out in recent times. It was a extremely scenic drive....

And the gorge itself was one of the best we have seem - photos don't pay it justice. It is highly regarded for its aboriginal rock engravings - over 5,900 have been counted...

Of course we had to get into some photos and the last one is morning tea when back at Percy...

No birds today but Faye found lots of flowers in the gorge...

Tomorrow we go to the west Macdonnells to Glen Helen Resort. No mobile reception there but we will have for a while in the morning whilst going through Alice Springs.
