The longest distance of our holidays today - 388km - from Wauchope to The Alice - but an easy drive as no towns and virtually flat road. The drive through Central Aussie is still quite picturesque - this is around Barrow Creek...
Had lunch at Ti-Tree at the roadhouse - then at a memorial for the original OTL this was a post from the original line...
And our first glimpse of the Macdonnell Ranges coming into Alice Springs...
The tourist season is still full on so difficult to get a site in The Alice. We got an ensuite site (last one) at a park & we figured Faye deserved some luxury after nights in a tent!
It's now time to take a breather - some shopping for Faye - and to see what we can do about our Canon camera. There is a camera repair company here but if it is going to be too expensive one option is to buy a new body (staying with Canon means that we could us our existing lenses - which are the most expensive part). We are staying here for 4 nights then planning for a few nights at Ross river resort in the East Macs.
