Day 27 - Barron Gorge National Park, Speewah

Left Quinola this morning and came to Kuranda. Faye was disappointed as the shop she aways buys some clothes from has closed down!!

Then we went on the Skyrail to Cairns and back to Kuranda. Had lunch at Cairns. We had done the skyrail a few years ago but it was a lovely day to do it again and we both enjoyed the trip.

This is going over the Barron River....

A good view of the tops of trees...

Then had a walk around Kuranda then came to our camp at Speewah at Barron Gorge National Park...

It is a beautiful camp spot - very scenic and good facilities. There is a shower room (cold) but we heated some water & used our 12v shower so have had a lovely hot shower.

Ken did a small walk in the rainforest of 1.5 km - sign said 1 hour return but Ken did it in 21 minutes!

On the way he got this photo of a kingfisher..

We are here for 2 nights - some bush walking tomorrow.
