A hot day was forecast for today (but not as hot as the east coast) so we decided to head for the coast. Went by train to Mandurah which is about 70 Km south of Perth. The public transport system in Perth is great - all new and air conditioned & to get there was bus,train & another bus.
The compulsory coffee when we got there - then a walk along the waterfront..
Thought we had better walk to the Indian Ocean so we can say we have crossed the whole Australian Continent ..
Then lunch which was a very healthy!! Pancakes and fruit. Then a walk around the markets and this afternoon went to the movies (thanks to Readings gift card for Christmas) - saw Parental Guidance - got a few ideas as to how to treat the grandchildren!!!!!!
Then back to Perth and we got back to the unit about 5.30pm. It wasn't as hot as we expected.
Tomorrow morning we pick up a hire car until we leave on Sunday night.
