Day 4 Perth WA

Last night we went for an hours walk in Kalgoorlie - everything was closed except the pubs...

Faye found a friend...

But we were asleep by the time the train departed at 10.40 pm. However, neither of us had the best of nights as the train seemed to stop heaps & jerked around. But an early breakfast again but his time we had to queue as everyone had the same idea.

We spent a long time coming through the Avon Valley this morning which was very nice...

We arrived in Perth exactly on time at 9.10 am.

We really enjoyed this trip on the Indian Pacific - it surpassed our expectations - and the train crew were great.

A long queue for a taxi but we were at our apartment by 10am. Left the luggage there and walked to the City for a coffee and then lunch. Did some Woolworth's shopping on the way back. City Waters was only 18 minutes walk. Here is a photo of where we are staying & the view across the road...

We are both very tired now - the time change doesn't help. Going to take it very easy tomorrow.
