Caught train from Cardiff to Sydney Central this morning & travelled with our friends Roy and Cecilie who were seeing off her sister on the Indian Pacific.
Booked luggage in then had some lunch. The Indian Pacific is a huge train - this photo shows it in 2 halves as it takes up 2 full platforms - they joined them up just before we left...

It was very foggy coming up the Blue Mountains but then cleared near Lithgow - this is the old junction on the Zig Zag railway..
Dinner is over 3 sittings and we had 7.15pm. Was a beautiful 3 course meal and we had it with David & Maureen (Cecilie's sister)
Faye has just had a shower so early to bed. Arrives at Broken Hill about 6.40 in the morning. Presently 9.10pm & we are getting towards Orange.
