Had a look around Normanton this morning. This is the Norman River - they have made the original bridge into a fishing platform including rod holders..
Also the railway - this is the famous "Gulflander" - we travelled this train to Croydon a few years ago so today was only for memories...
Was 380km to Cloncurry - this is some of the country....
Had lunch at Burke & Wills roadhouse & after that there were lots of flowers - these were some of the most common..
Afternoon tea was at Quamby - the hotel has closed down a few months ago but did have an interesting entry and lots of murals - it was a Cobb & Co stopover and Customs house originally..
Tomorrow we will go to Boulia - if the blog is late it may be that we stop somewhere with no mobile reception.
Whilst we were at Quinola Lakes we were waiting for a chryilis to emerge - Pat knew it was ready but the butterfly finally emerged just 1 hour after we left last Saturday...
