Queensland Day 53 Georgetown

Last night towards sunset we went to Blomfield Swamp near Quinola Lakes to watch the brolgas come into roost for the night. This is the swamp which is a volcanic crater..

Hundreds come in but couldn't get photo once they landed as they were almost impossible to see. This photo are some coming in at sunset..

Was sad leaving this morning but we need to start towards home (although a long way around via Birdsville & Birdsville Track). Faye still needed to use the camera so before breakfast went around the other side of the lake to get this photo...

Tonight we are at Georgetown & tomorrow will go to Normanton.
