Queensland Day 34 Moreton Telegraphic Station

Left Umagico & headed for bakery at Bamaga so we could have bread & something nice for morning tea along the track as we headed south...

Saw some low level Golden Bouquet flowers...

Faye thought they had a nice red centre so tried to pick some but it was a sticky red liquid!

There was a Variety Club Bash arriving at the top today so we had to pass over 100 of their vehicles..

Almost had a head on with one of their cars as he was travelling behind a variety bus in the dust but on the wrong side of the road - we both had headlights on so we saw each other just in time.

We did some of the old OTL for memories sake and came across Sheldon Lagoon -

These pitcher plants were there - will bring back some memories for Kevin & Pat.

And the turtles were still there - so Faye gave them their lunch...

We have a lovely camp spot here at Moreton on the Wenlock river..

And tonight's sunset....
