Queensland Day 27 Mapoon

Firstly to answer a comment - the bird in previous blog was a Beach Stone Curlew.

Last night we had a lovely tea.......

This was Ken's tuna and we shared it with the other teacher here at Mapoon & his partner - they live in the adjoining house. David is a great cook.
This is David & Alana's house...
This morning Faye went back to the school & after that David took us to the Batavia Outstation ruins on the Wenlock River. On the way saw many of these Golden Bouquet trees..

This flower on the way back..
Otherwise a quiet & hot day. Here at Mapoon the day temperature is around 32 o & overnight about 20 o.
Ken went with David on his afternoon school bus run.
