Day 3 - Walgett

A lovely baked dinner last night at Gulargambone C/park - probably about 100 fed...

Left around 9.30 this morning with a short hop to Coonamble for morning tea and another painted water tower...

Some other photos at the morning tea stop.

It is the 3rd day alongside the Castlereagh River.  No visual water but a sign says that it is often called the upside down river as water flows beneath the sand.

Then onto Walgett where we are staying the night at a free camp in town. Lots of other vans here already. It has been developed by Council to encourage people to stop in Walgett and spend some money.

Had a walk to the cemetery to see the grave of the aboriginal singer Jimmy Little and his wife.

Tomorrow we will move into Queensland and the plan is Dirranbandi.
