Day 35 - Ramarama (Auckland)

No photos today - its time to come home!

Just a quiet day cleaning up the motorhome and packing our clothes etc. Went for a drive to the nearby town on Pukekohe where we had morning tea and lunch. Was surprised that it is a very large town with population over 30,000. Faye was able to find some clothes shopping to do.

Noticed lots of references to motor sport and the Auckland V8 Supercars track is in Pukekohe and the 2018 round is on next week. It is the round prior to the Newcastle races.

We will leave here at 6.30 in the morning to get to Maui before 8am. Our flight is at 11am.

For anyone interested in stats we have done 4753km over 35 days. Fuel cost has  averaged $1.50 per litre. Consumption has been 8.3 lites per 100km so the Mercedes has done real well. Very happy with its performance and economy.

This holiday has exceeded our expectations and we have both kept well and thoroughly enjoyed the time. Trust you have enjoyed following us. Hope the photos have not been too much. You have seen only a small % as we have taken a total of  3800 photos.

The weather has been great - only 1 showery day.

Until next holiday.......

PS: Just realised that the map of where we have travelled has only been on Facebook and Instagram so will show it below.
