Day 29 - Paihia (Bay of Islands)

We were up a little earlier this morning - just in time to see the sunrise (1st photo below) as we had a morning cruise on the Bay of Islands and to the Hole in the rock.

We couldn’t but notice that the Williams name is very prominent around here!

It was a beautiful sunny day and the sea smooth so no problem getting the boat through the hole in the rock.

On the way they can across heaps of dolphins...

Many schools of fish around with the birds having a feed. It is a beautiful place.

Now to the Hole in the rock...

They cant always take the boat through but today was perfect. Can you see the face in the 5th photo?

We alighted at Russell on the way back to have a look around and have lunch.

Then got a ferry back to Paihia. Had a look around the shops and then back for a rest...
