This morning came about 30km to Coromandel Town...nice views along the way.
First stop was the Info centre, then a walk around town and a compulsory stop at Umu Cafe for morning tea and good wifi. Had lunch there and a quick drive around...
This afternoon was a trip on the Driving Creek small guage railway...
It was very interesting and all built by one man (died 2 years ago aged 80) who had a pottery on the site.
The track climbs a big hill and the stop at the top is Eyefull Tower where the last 2 photos above were taken.
Then came further up the peninsula to Oamaru Bay for the night. Faye was able to get more birds!
When coming back from a walk a couple gave us some fish they had caught today. Will have tomorrow night after buying stuff to cook it with.
Not sure how far we will go tomorrow as we are going on to some places the Info Centre suggested.
