Day 13 - Wyperfeld National Park

A very quiet night last night and not too cold. A few drops of rain.

First up today after breakfast was another walk in a different part of the park. Called Tyakil Nature walk and was 4.4km...

The park is a series of dry lakes, joined by Outlet Creek surrounded by sand dunes. Only gets water in flood times. The last one was in 1975.

The whole park seems to have a sand base. After that walk had a look at the Information Centre and then a drive for 15km called the Eastern Lookout Nature drive...

The 2nd photo is a grave for “Baby Cameron” who died in1875 aged 7 days. Parents had the property and had twins - the other one survived.

A couple of walks to a lookout and also to a Mallee Fowl mound. Not active at this time of year.

Tomorrow we are back to the Silo trail. By ourselves tonight.
