Day 28 : Yass

Left Tumut around 10am and morning tea was Five Miles from Gundagai at the "Dog on the Tucker Box".


Then came through to Yass in time for lunch.

As most would be aware we lived in Yass for 2 years from 1982/84 and Ken was Manager of Westpac. We are camped alongside the Yass River in a free camp and after lunch we walked to the shops.


Of course Ken had to check out Westpac - the building was refurbished into the old style whilst we were there. It has now been modernised inside. The other buildings are the Court House and Post Office.

We will have a bit more of a look tomorrow morning. Then we plan to go onto Belanglo State Forest for the night and home on Friday.
