So went back to bed for a sleep in. Then after breakfast went down the main street for a walk around the shops and then a coffee.

Mansfield has lots of gardens and is a quite attractive town. The first photo is a police memorial for 3 local police who were killed by the Ned Kelly gang in 1878. It was erected in 1880. It was following that massacre that the Government passed legislation that anyone in the community could shoot any of the Kelly gang.
In the 2nd photo guess the real person!
Of course there were 2 bakeries in the main street so had to visit one to buy lunch.
This afternoon we went to Jamieson for a drive. It is a historic small town. There is a nearby gold mine (1A) which started in 1861 and is still producing gold.

Some photos along the way. The Church was built in 1865. And still some views of Lake Eildon. A huge lake!
Tomorrow Mt Buller and Craigs Hut is on the agenda.
