We travelled overnight to Katherine and it was the best nights sleep we both had for quite a while!
An early breakfast as then 4 hours in Katherine. For our excursion we went on a Katherine Outback Experience which was on a property a few km's from town. Run by Tom Curtain who is a horse breaker and singer. Showed how he breaks in horses in a very humane way and also works with other animals and dogs. He breaks in horses from all over and also trains working dogs which he then sells. He and his partner Annabelle do the show with help from some backpackers. Had refreshments etc and he sang some of his songs - usually whilst on horseback. An interesting morning...
Back on the train for our lunch and this included...crocodile...kangaroo...emu...barramundi...buffalo and normal stuff. A good final Ghan meal.
Some photos of the final day, went over a few rivers...
The last photo was taken from our apartment on the 10th floor of Darwin Excecutive Apartments. It is a beautiful apartment - will put some photos on tomorrow.
We arrived in Darwin 30 minutes early - coach to city and then taxi to pick up keys for apartment and back to it. Then a short walk to Woolies for some food. We are here until Sunday night.
