Muscat Oman day 6

A bit of a sleep in this morning and by the time we got to breakfast the dining room was nearly full and kids everywhere. Apparently there were a huge number of families in for a special holiday party overnight. Anyway still plenty of food.

The photos below show (1) sunrise from our room yesterday (2, 3 & 4) the dining area of the main restaurant - anyone for a strawberry? and (5 & 6) sunset yesterday.

Today we got a bus to the Grand Mall in Muscat. Was interesting but the same feel as a shopping centre at home except for arabic and arabs everywhere. Some shops were still the same chains as in Australia. How about Hungry Bunny and still the golden arches symbol. Found a bakery and had lunch there. Faye had an iced cappuccino and says it was the best she had ever had...

Still very hot today. As at now (6pm) it is 35 - feels like 40 according to a web site. Min temp tonight 30.

The heat & humidity is unrelenting, so hard to be outside. The hotel's air conditioning is very good.

Off to dinner now. Tomorrow we will lounge around and in the evening we have booked a bus to Mutrah souq for a last look. Monday we have an airport pick up at 5.45am for a 9am flight to Singapore.
