Muscat Oman day 4

Well today was a quiet rest day after 2 days of flying and 2 days of tours!

It is a very beautiful place and we realised today that our room is the closest to the water than any other room in the whole resort. Nearly 1000 rooms. It is ground floor and right at one end of the Al Waha section. We did get an upgrade when we arrived.

After a sleep in went for a long and big breakfast. After that we went walking over the whole resort from one end to the other along the beach and back around the pools etc. Then into our swimmers and the first stop was "The lazy river". It is a winding canal of water that is moving slowly and runs for a long time between 2 hotels. You sit in a donut and just enjoy the ride. Did 2 circuits and then into a pool for a while. When you come to the pool an attendant gives you towels and whilst in the water provided an esky with cold water at our lounges. Bit nice!

Then a late lunch and a quiet afternoon. Just about to go for dinner.

We put some photos on the first days blog so these are some of the surrounds,

And some of us...the photo that is blurred is because the camera lens wasn't usable for about an hour after you bring it out of the air con into a very hot and humid outside. Your glasses also fog up as soon as you step out of the room. Most of the photos had to be taken with the phone.

That's the day....a big one tomorrow as we head west to Oman's ancient capital and the Grand Canyon.
