We had a great roast dinner last night for $15...as much food as you could eat!
The entertainment was Mel and Susie who describe themselves as performing bush poets. They spend the winter season here and visit schools the rest of the year. It was a thoroughly enjoyable night and they were brilliant with real Aussie humour.
This morning we went to the Australian Age of Dinosaurs about 25 km from Winton. It is a working laboratory and displays of actual dinosaur bones found around the area. They have enough bones for the next 10 years. It was a really interesting morning and we did 2 tours over an hour. Then morning coffee at their cafe.
Faye is standing with "Banjo" outside the reception area.
The top photos are from last night - the middle ones around the jump up where the dinosaurs are - and the bottom ones the Musical Fence in town (love the drum kit!).
Tomorrow we are going to Longreach.
