Day 62 Lightning Ridge

Went on a self drive tour this morning and then spent 2 1/2 hours underground at the Chambers of the Black Hand. This is an opal mine where one level is an opal shop and over 500 sandstone carvings that has been done over recent years. We then went to a lower level where mining is done.The carvings were remarkable and will put some photos below but I have put over 100 photos of Lightning Ridge in an album on my Facebook page. Had a little relax time this afternoon and we are going to the Bowling Club for tea. Tomorrow going to Coonamble.
