Day 1 of 2 week holiday to Canberra & South Coast - Berrima

Today starts a brief 2 week holiday. Originally planned for 5 weeks but we had to shorten it as Ken has Drs appointments for Heart ultrasound etc. His cardiologist  is doing it earlier than usual. So not going as far down the South Coast after Canberra.

Left home this morning at 9.30am and had morning tea at Ourimbah then through to Berrima for a late lunch. Camped in a Council reserve alongside the Wingecarribee River.

This afternoon we did the Berrima River walk which is 1.8km each way. Not hard but lovely views which was the site of a German Internment camp in World War 1. They had lots of signs explaining where everything was but the buildings were destroyed after the war.

There are 4 sites in this reserve and all occupied tonight. They had to be pre booked.

Tomorrow onto Canberra for 4 nights. Staying at the Exhibition Centre (Showgrounds).
