Day 48 - Muddy Duck Longreach

Lots of storms last night so that led to an early morning phone call advising that the Stagecoach experience was cancelled today due to the wet. Today was fine but they said it would be too dangerous & the cancellation was also for all the activities and lunch. We considered our options - the caravan park said we couldn’t stay here another day - so looked at another Longreach experience at the Stockman’s Hall of Fame and the early tours were booked out however we got into a 4 hour experience at 11.30am. We did that and we loved it especially the Outback Stockman’s live show.

But first we went into town for morning tea (where else but the bakery!) and had a look around.

The kangaroos were in the c/park.

We had previously done the Qantas museum so just photos from outside.

Then to the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame…

The first part of the tour was the Outback Stockman’s LiveShow.

The dog went all around the people for a pat.

I think Faye loved the horse & of course the sheep.

Then a cinema show after which we had lunch and then the Hall of Fame.

We leave here tomorrow & the plan is for Jericho. We want to be at Barcaldine by 12 so we can watch Margaret Brown’s funeral live.

Margaret was one of Faye’s best friends and we mentioned it on Day 41.
