Day 46 The Long Waterhole Winton

Today we visited the Age of Dinosaurs which is 25km from Winton. We had visited it before but since then they have developed the Canyon section with additional buildings and a large indoor section with a large dinosaur track that was discovered when Winton had a massive flood a few years ago.

Faye survived!

It was very interesting. They take you on shuttles to the area and it was a 400m walk through the “Canyon”

Then back to town to the North Gregory Hotel for a lovely lunch. Checked out Arnos Wall.

A relaxing afternoon and tomorrow travel to just outside Longreach for 2 nights. We are booked for Monday to do a 4 hour “Longreach experience”. We get to experience a stage coach ride - a theatre visit & a tent outback show which includes a “Billy Can” lunch.
