First stop was Snowyhydro Discovery Centre which included morning tea at their cafe. A very interesting display & interactive displays and films.
The scope of works done in the 1940’s & following decades was nothing short of amazing. The amount of work currently being done on Snowy 2.0 is very extensive with 27 kms of tunnels & a huge power station nearly 1km underground. The 4th photo is a model of the 2 current tunneling machines.
Then something very different - the Corrective Services Cooma Museum….
It is situated adjoining the Cooma jail.
Some other photos around…
Of course if Faye sees a grey fergie tractor - a photo is a must.
Tomorrow heading south to Victoria and 2 nights in a National Park campground at Cape Conran. Right on Bass Strait…
