Day 9 - Tibooburra

The day started with Izzy having a drink and coffee for us at the Corner Country Store. Then a look at displays in the town…

They have a different display at each of the 4 entries to town.

Then did a 100km loop drive through the eastern section of Sturt National Park.

First stop was at an outdoor museum…

The N/P was originally Mt Wood Station and had a look at the old woolshed and a bridge over the nearby creek to the shearers quarters…

Then passed the homestead which is now Rangers residence and on to a gorge (it was called the Gorge loop road)…

The house above was an outstation and the remains of a shearing shed. The mountain peak is Mt Wood.

Arrived back around 2.30.

Tomorrow will be a big day as we do a trip to Camerons Corner.

Ken now has a really sore left foot and has difficulty walking. It started after the walk at Broken Hill and has now got worse. Dr Google says it is peroneal tendinitis so hope it eases before too long. Has looked up exercises to do.
