Day 31 - Killarney

Distance today was 150km but for a significant portion it was slow and winding as we travelled much of the Mt Lindesay Highway. There was a shorter way but has been closed indefinitely due to storm/flood damage early this year. Didn’t count the bends - but although slow was very pretty drive up and over the mountains. The following photos will give you a idea. Lots of roadworks due to damage from the rain over past months.

Had morning tea at a small roadhouse at Tamrookum and lunch at Woodenbong. Arrived at Killarney around 3pm and are staying here for 3 nights.

Killarney is busy this weekend as an annual Gymkhana is on and a running race on Sunday with the road to Queen Mary Falls closed on Sunday morning.

Faye has requested a trip to Warwick tomorrow!
