Day 4 - Mudgee

Light rain most of last night but fined up during the morning as we headed out towards Rylstone and then onto Capertee National Park. Low cloud for a while and we came to a cute Church at Havilah…

As we stopped at Rylstone it was outside a wool shop “Convent and Chapel”. So Faye to check it out!

Bought morning tea at the Bakery which we ate alongside the river and then onto Capertee National Park.

Yes it is a locked gate - but we knew that and we had obtained a code from National Parks - they keep a record of all vehicles.

A few kms in with several river crossings and then a 4wd track to the “Valley Lookout”.

One very muddy section, however, Percy wasn’t worried - just scraped his underbelly…

The lookout was worth it….

Had lunch at the lookout - all by ourselves.

Then back to Mudgee via Windermere Dam where we finished off some of the morning tea we had purchased.

Came through heavy rain on the way back but was fine at Mudgee.

Tomorrow we go to Hill End for 4 nights. Have read that there is no Telstra mobile reception in Hill End (only Optus). But wikicamps says that National Parks have put in a very small repeater in the campground but virtually no internet. SO - have no idea if and when we can load the blog. We may be able to send it out when we go out each day. So if you don’t get the blog each evening - don’t worry!

We will still do the blog each day and will send when we can…
