Days 22 and 23 - Geelong

A nice time with Colin and Pam Giles for the last 3 days. We first met them on a Europe tour in 2004 and have remained good friends since then.

Yesterday we spent the day at their new home in a retirement village. They have downsized and have been in their new home 6 weeks ago.

We had the opportunity to catch up with their 3 daughters and 2 of their youngest grandchildren as well as Pam’s 95 year old Mum. A lovely lunch. It was Michelle’s birthday (one of the daughters).

Today we all walked from the Caravan park along the Barwon River to have coffee. Geelong has lovely parks along the river.

Had lunch at a local hotel and then this afternoon went for a drive around the area.

We had worn Faye out this morning walking 8km!. We have visited Geelong a few times so had visited most sites.

Tomorrow we move to Melbourne and will be staying in Lilydale caravan park for 3 nights and visiting Ron and June Weeks.
