Left early and just drove through heavy rain nearly all the way. Some flooding was already affecting where we had been just a day before.
As we drove there were quite a few places where water was already alongside the highway. We needed to head inland and 2 of the main roads up the mountains were already blocked.
So kept on the Princes Highway to Nowra and then came up through Kangaroo Valley to Moss Vale. We had morning tea at Batemans Bay and a late lunch at Fitzroy Falls.
This meant that we didn’t do some of the things we planned on the South Coast so that leaves the opportunity for a future holiday!
Was an interesting drive up the mountains but mist/fog meant that we couldn’t see a lot of Fitzroy Falls.
All that means that we get home a few days earlier and Faye is happy with that.
All Freeway/tollroads tomorrow but it seems the weather is clearing so should be OK.
So this means that this is the last blog of this 5 week holiday. Distance will be around 5072 by the time we get home.
Thank you for coming along with us - until next time.....
