Day 4 - Yetman (almost Queensland!!)

Yesterday evening whilst sitting alongside our van Faye was active with the camera...

This morning left the Gwydir around 9.30 and had a walk around the shops at Bingara. Found the Imperial Hotel which does great coffee and morning tea so had to have an early one...

Several murals around town and found Fay’s park...

The next stop was Ceramic Break Sculpture Park about 25km from Bingara. We found out about it from Wikicamp app and we spent 2 hours there.

The gentleman Kerry Cannon does bronze sculptures which are spread around the property as well as 3 galleries including art in each of them. We met Kerry who showed us around and then his Gallery manager showed us the art sections. He exhibits around the world and the works sell for up to many thousands. Saw a couple of small ones for $6000. Didn’t buy any! He showed us how he does his work. Here are a few photos to give an example...

We also met the Art teacher from Warialda High School and one of her year 12 students who were setting up an exhibition of HSC art works.

This was a great place to visit and we didn’t see it all.

Then onto Warialda for lunch and then to Yetman where we are in the caravan park with sites around the tennis courts...

We are staying here 2 nights and the plan is to visit a National Park tomorrow but that may depend on the weather as rain is forecast.
