Day 3 : Temora/Barmedman

A good nights sleep then another hot day. Peaked at 43o this afternoon.

Had a look at the Info Centre then down the main street for a coffee.

Last nights sunset and some views around town and Lake Temora.

Had an early lunch and then went to Temora Rural Museum and found it very interesting. Spent a couple of hours there - the exhibits were very varied but Faye was most interested in the country things!

The cottage in the last photo is the house that Don Bradman grew up in.

They have a very large collection of ambulances, tractors and fire engines as well as 100's of machinery things. The interesting thing is that they all are in working order.

Then went to Barmedman for a drive. We used to live there from 1977 to 1979.

We spent a lot of time in the Mineral Pool when we lived there as well as playing a lot of tennis in a night comp over 3 nights a week. Three of our kids went to the school (Matt was too young) and Tim was captain in 6th class. Tim then started high school at Temora.

Then back to the van - we had left the air con on all day so it was pleasant. A change is coming through as I type. Hope it is cooler tonight.
