Had a great night last night at Barna Mia (which means animal home). The tour is is to see nocturnal animals after dark. Some photos...
It was only a small group last night so we were able to get up close. The favorites were the Bilbies. Also saw Boodies, Woylies, Rufous hare-wallaby and a possum. All the marsupials are native to Dryandra. They are kept in a predator proof acreage - the possum is not but gets over the electric fence.
Spent a few hours looking around and taking photos of all the signs we could find with Williams - got over 30 but here are just 8.
These next photos are around the town...
As you can see everything is "williams" - the town, river, shire. The main tourist thing is the Williams Woolshed which centres on the wool industry. Had lunch there also.
The town was named Williams in the 1830's after the river which had been earlier named after King William IV on his ascension to the throne.
Tomorrow we go to Hyden.
