A bit of a history lesson today as we went south to Boydtown and into Ben Boyd National Park. Ben Boyd was a wealthy businessman who came to this area in the early 1840's & built Boydtown including the Seahorse Inn. Also built a tower in 1847 which was used as a whale spotting tower as he had a whalers fleet. By the end of that decade he had gone broke and left for the Californian goldrush.
Was a very interesting day and we also did a walk along the coast. When back to town some food shopping. Tomorrow we are going to Mallacoota.
