Day 41 - Normanton

Mike & Wendy are involved with a recycle shed at Georgetown so this morning went to have a look & for a cuppa...

Then left going west and had a look at the Cumberland lagoon...

This is the Gilbert River - would be great to see full of water...

Then about 1/2 way to Croydon the LHS wheel of the van had a massive blowout - the tread completely delaminated and the rubber did do some minor damage to the van & destroyed the wheel flare. Fortunately it happened right at a property turn off so we could stop safely...

When we arrived at Croydon we were able to get a new tyre at the BP roadhouse so had a late lunch whilst they replaced the tyre. Seeing Ken needed a shower we came through to Normanton to a park rather than free camp.

Whilst in Croydon made use of the "Bank of New South Wales" toilets...

Tomorrow we go to Cloncurry.
