South Australia Day 63 Angorichina

A lovely night at Farina - this was sunset...

This morning we had a look around the ruins - this was one of the hotels and then the bush hospital...

Had a look around the rail precinct - it was the original Ghan rail line & was built in the 1880's - this is the rail bridge...

Then onto the ochre pits near Lyndhurst...

Timed morning tea for Copley and we used a lovely Father's Day gift to have a great morning tea at the Quandong Bakery. Spent quite a while there. Then fuelled up Percy again & filled the van water tank.
Onto Leigh Creek for shopping & lunch.
As we started to come into the Flinders Ranges area the outlook changed..

Tonight we are at Angorichina Village and it is a beautiful spot - have a powered site - this is the view...

This was the road into the village - 17km of gravel...

Ken went for a walk along Blinman Creek...

Tomorrow just a few km's of gravel & then all bitumen until we get home!!!!!
With all the outback gravel roads our only casualty was the plastic water tap - we are very happy with how Percy and the van performed - only small amounts of dust in the van and none in the cupboards other than where the air con is located.

Tomorrow we will most likely be at Peterborough.
