A big day today. Together with Kevin & Pat we did 280km & went through lots of historic & old towns - including a couple of pioneer cemeterys!
Had a look around Irvinebank..
Along the way these huge rocks were seen..
Morning tea at Montalbion Dam (site of old mining town)...
And then went onto Lappa Junction - where there is an old hotel museum. Ken looked at home...
From there we did the Lappa Track - which follows the site of an old railway line to Mt Garnet - built in 1880 - the road has been upgraded recently but is still narrow. This is an old railway culvert..
And going through one of the cuttings...
Lunch at California Creek..
On the way home we went through lots of forest roads to McKenzie Falls..
Faye took heaps of other photos of other things so you will see some of them over the next couple of days.
