Queensland Day 3 Possum Park Miles

Travelled from Goondiwindi today via Condamine (where the Condamine Bell was invented - do you know what a Condamine Bell is?)...

Morning tea alongside a creek & lunch at Miles. Then came to Possum Park which was originally a RAAF bomb and ammunition depot from World War 2. Then it was RAAF Kowguran. It has 20 underground bunkers built into the sides of a hill. The top of the hill was the parade ground & this is now the caravan park. Some of the bunkers have been converted into accommodation & they also have old troop train railway carriages converted as well. We arrived here about 2pm & then did a walk for a few km's to look over the property. A very interesting place - even has an outdoor chapel.

Will show some photos below - for those on Facebook I have included more photos there.

Tomorrow we plan to go to Isla Gorge National Park & probably spend the night there - if so we will not have mobile reception.

Just a bit envious guys - bad day on the road better than a good day at work, don't head off again till sept.
    Safe travels.
